Our Experienced History
At Ferrous Processing and Trading (FPT), we have been buying, processing, and trading non-ferrous metals since 1946. We have a long history of responsible scrap metal management services to serve private and commercial clients across the country.
Currently, non-ferrous scrap metal is processed at SLC Recycling, a division of FPT. The facility is a full-service non-ferrous processing center and is the first non-ferrous scrap metal processing center to integrate a high-capacity shredder, an optical sorter, and dry system separators with sand flotation.
At SLC Recycling, we purchase, sort, process, and package a wide array of scrap metal including aluminum, brass, copper, tool steels, stainless steel, and high temperature alloys. Each metal is processed accordingly, using advanced technology and processes.
Our processing and packaging methods include baling, bulk, boxed, shredding, briquetting, and super-sacks. Thanks to our world-wide marketing and operations team, we have the capability to ship directly to major international and domestic secondary aluminum smelters, foundries, and steel mills.
